Yesterday, January 8, 2026, a Training Day on the Measurement of Monumental Olive Trees was held in Ulldecona, aimed at the Rural Agents of the Generalitat of Catalonia. This was carried out in accordance with Law 6/2020 on the protection, conservation, and enhancement of monumental olive trees, promoted by the Mancomunidad Taula del Sénia, the Territorio del Sénia Association, and the Department of Territory of the Catalan Government.

The olive tree belongs to the Farga variety and is located in Cervera del Maestre (in the Valencian part of the Sénia Territory). It reaches a trunk perimeter of 695 cm at a height of 80 centimetres from the ground, thus representing one of the largest trees in the area. It is approximately 1,100 to 1,200 years old.
